Das Übermensch is an experimental performance group led by multimedia artist Jon Mertz, in which Pink played keyboards and percussion. The group offered Dadaistic poetry over tribal rhythms, electronic synthesizer melodies, and digital sampling of found sounds. Lyrcs were often assembled using the cut-up technique.
During live performances the group played behind a wall of bubble wrap. All the audience could see of the musicians were amorphous shapes that glowed and mutated beneath the colored lights.
Das Übermensch never released any full length albums, but the tracks Nude Descending A Staircase and Joan Of Arc were featured on compilation albums.
