Good evening ruby red-breast
Pardon me if I fall on my knees
Your infection is like ocher and cream
You lift me up then you tear me down
Now I'm standing on top of the world
Looking down on the insect parade
Those pretty lights as they run in circles
Will they drown in their own waste
I dream of your pallid skin
A heart of cancer and an icing kiss
You float past my bedroom window
Your hunger is torment and bliss
I've been burning my notebooks and letters
Say a prayer for the ones I love
Gomorrah's din lingers in my ears
Pillars of salt for those that hear
Good evening Ruby red-breast
Your poison is elixir to me
A pale scar runs across your wrists
And all my life I've been waiting for this
On the cross of humanity's sorrows
Shall great Narcissus reign
Another savior, another dollar
Does suicide make one a martyr?
